Learning intentions

The FASD Hub webinars are designed to generate critical conversation about FASD prevention, diagnosis and care in Australia. The webinar series will:

  • provide an understanding of the risks and effects of alcohol use in pregnancy;
  • serve as an introduction to current issues and topics relevant to professionals working in FASD prevention, diagnosis and care;
  • raise awareness of FASD for those working in at risk settings, such as classrooms, child protection or justice;
  • explore complex or newly emergent topics, such as FASD and autism/ADHD, or the use of AI to assist with diagnosis;
  • roadmap how to effectively guide people to the services they need;
  • spotlight strategies for making a difference, including through health messaging and policy advocacy;
  • give access to a community of practice genuinely committed to improving the lives of people with FASD and their families
This program proudly heralds the ‘no safe level’ message: There is no safe level of alcohol consumption for women who are planning a pregnancy, or who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
