Responses to Lancet Paper: Asking difficult questions about FASD in the context of the child, the mother, and the systems in which they live

Recently, an article was published in the Lancet ‘Asking difficult questions about fetal alcohol spectrum disorder in the context of the child, the mother, and the systems in which they live‘ which questioned the validity of using the term Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

This sparked further discussion among people working in the FASD space internationally, and below are three responses which address the question of the appropriateness of using FASD as a diagnostic term.
